For refusing sex, youth attacked with sharp weapons in Pune

Pune – In a broad day light attacked, a 24-year-old youth was attacked with sharp weapons in a building on the busy Tilak road today afternoon. Preliminary investigation by police has revealed that the attempt to murder was a fall out of his refusal for sex.

The passersby caught hold of the three attackers including a minor and handed them over to Khadak police station. The injured youth Dinesh alias Gana Suresh Kamble is undergoing treatment at Sassoon general hospital. Police have detained Mayur Motiram Rathod (18) of Kamraj Nagar, Yerwada, Mahesh Dhansh Tiwari (18) of Laxminagar (Yerawada) and a minor.

According to police, the incident took place around 2.30 pm near Girija Hotel on Tilak Road. The injured and accused persons had gone to the basement of a building, where the accused had allegedly demanded sex from the injured. As refused they got angry and began assaulting him. As Kamble shouted for help, passersby rushed inside the basement and rescued him. They called an ambulance and shifted him to hospital. They also caught the accused and informed police.

A team led by senior police inspector Rajendra Mokashi reached the spot and detained the youths. He said that the injured youth is out of danger and further investigation is going on.
