Flyover bridge construction making troublesome

On the busy road of Pune Solapur road were left restless as chaotic traffic and dizzy rains left people clueless. As due to pedestrian over bridge road construction many routes have been diverted into one-ways as the construction work is going on.

The construction of pedestrian over bridge between the Arms Force Medical College (AFMC) and Race Course will be done in the area of Wanawadi division of Pune city.

Maharashtra Government Department under Motor Vehicle Act  had issued an notification issued.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic)Ashok Morale said, “there is on-going construction of over bridge for pedestrian taking place near the main road between Solapur road and Bhairobanala Chowk to Turf Club Chowk will be closed completely for vehicular traffic.”

The work will start from August 3 and till 7. Such work will carried between wee hours of morning till 10 pm.  To avoid the traffic congestion, the traffic is being diverted on the following routes to facilitate traffic.

All vehicles traveling from Fatima Nagar Chowk to Swargate has been diverted left to Bhairobnala Chowk and turn right from the Wanawadi Market Chowk heading straight to Mamma Devi Chowk.

Similarly, traffic going towards Mammadevi Chowk to Wanwadi Bazar Chowk has been converted into one-way for traffic heading to only Wanwadi Bazar. Mammadevi Chowk to Wanwadi Chowk has been restricted for vehicle entries.

Vehicle entries for Wanwadi Bazar Chowk between Mamma Devi Chowk has been converted into one-way only for the traffic heading to Mamma Devi Chowk.

Traffic routing from Mamma Devi Chowk to Bhairobnala Chowk is advised to take lest from Arjun Road Junction via Water Tank heading straight to Racecourse Main Gate and taking right to Cantonment Jakat Naka Np. 02 Chowk and Lal Bahadur Shashtri Road to Bhairobnala Chowk.

Water Tank to Cantonment Jakatnaka No-2 has been converted into one-way. Vehicles have been restricted to go from Cantonment Jakatnaka No-2 to Racecourse.

Road heading towards Cantonment Jakatnaka No-2 to Bhairobnala Chowk has also been converted into oneway.

Thus, public are advised to avoid these routes, and in urgent situations, it is advisable to use above mentioned routes.

 Due to this the public was chaos and panic. Considering the working hours of citizen where everyone want to rush soon to office and other destinations left them hauled for several minutes. Apart from it the internal and small lanes were also barricaded. Not even the Ambulance was asked to ply in such barricaded road.
