First citizen of the country voted in the Capital

Npnews24 online, New Delhi: As Delhi and neighboring Gurgaon go to polls; several top politicians as well as celebrities went to vote in the sixth phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Among the star voters were Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

With other star our first citizen of the nation Hon. President of India Ramnath Kovind was not less behind, he cast his vote with wife Savita Kovind at Dr.Rajendra Prasad vidyalaya nearby to (Rashtrapati Bhavan Campus). Like other voters he was seen to be in que.

President R.Kovind who hail basically from Kanpur cast his vote with others from the capital like UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, BJP candidate Gautam Gambhir, Senior Congress leader Sheila Dikshit, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Indian Captain Virat Koholi.

Voting began at 7 am today for the 59 parliamentary constituencies going to polls across six states and one union territory. After today’s voting, polling for the 2019 general elections will be complete in 483 of the total 543 Lok Sabha constituencies. The result for all 543 seats will be declared together on May 23.
