FIR Lodged on KRK for Making Derogatory Tweets Over Death of Rishi Kapoor & Irrfan Khan

Mumbai : An FIR has been lodged against actor Kamal R Khan for allegedly making derogatory remarks on social media against Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan in suburban area Bandra here. An official said that Rahul Kanal, a member of the core committee of Yuva Sena, had lodged a complaint regarding the abusive tweet of the actor. On the basis of which an FIR was registered on Wednesday.

He said that on 30 April, Khan allegedly announced Rishi Kapoor’s hospitalization on Twitter and said that the actor should not die as liquor shops are due to open soon. The officer said that Kamal R Khan had targeted Irrfan Khan on April 28, the next day Irrfan Khan died.

A senior police officer said, “We have filed an FIR against Kamal R Khan under related sections of the IPC for making derogatory remarks against both the late actors.” He said that no arrest has been made in this case yet. The matter is under investigation. Rishi Kapoor died of leukemia on 30 April. Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29, a day before that.
