Film Industry played a vital role in spread of Hindi Language: Governor Koshyari

Pune: While inaugurating the metal art installation, Nabh Abheepsa (Yearning for the Sky) on the occasion of Film and Television Institute of India’s diamond jubilee celebrations, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari expressed that the contribution of the film industry proved to be important for the spread and propagation of Hindi language in the country and abroad.

FTII Director Bhupendra Kainthola, Rajendra Pathak, Head of Television Department, Dheeraj Meshram, Head of Film Department were present on the occasion.

Congratulating the organization for creating beautiful works of art from old and inanimate objects, Koshyari said, “Spread this beautiful work of art through television and other means, so that people from all over the world will come here to see it. Many dignitaries from all over the world, including the country, should come to celebrate the centenary of this organization”.

Kainthola said “The contribution of the Film and Television Institute of India in the field of media and entertainment is significant. Pune is the cradle of film education. The film industry is a wonderful fusion of art and science”.

Koshyari initially inspected the old and new types of cameras, lights as well as rare materials related to film production in the historic Prabhat Studio. Prasanna Jain, head of Art Direction and Vikram Verma, Head of Art Production Department, who spearheaded the idea of the installation were facilitated at the event by the Governor.
