Fed up with knee pain committed suicide

PUNE: NPNEWS24 ONLINE- In a shocking incident, fed up with constant pain in knee prompted a Pune based senior citizen 60-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping in well.

The Hadapsar police have identified the deceased as Rajana Khanderao Gaikwad (60) a resident of Sasanenagar in Hadapsar.
Such incident has took place on Tuesday morning around 7.30 am at Hadapsar based Pandharmala surrounding. A case of accidental death has been registered at Hadapsar police station which falls under the jurisdiction of Pune city commissionerate. The police are probing the case.
The fire brigade jawan Tandel Shelar, Raju Tilekar, Baba Chavan, Amit Shinde, Narayan Jagtap and Sampat Chorge team pull out the deceased body from well.
Senior Inspector Sunil Tambe in-charge of Hadapsar police station said, “the incident took place on Tuesday morning around 7.30 am. Deceased Rajana’s husband Khanderao had got up for morning walk and exercise purpose and left home. Later she too got up and jumped into the nearby surrounding well. She was alone in the house when this incident took place. After returning from morning walk her husband learn she is missing and later with help of local resident and fire brigade official the body was pull out and rushed to hospital.”
He added,”But doctor’s declared her death. As per our primary investigation, we came to know that deceased Rajana’s was suffering from knee pain for last several years and she was unable to bear it.And this has drove to take such hard step. Still we are probing.”
