Farhan Akhtar calls out a protest against CAB

Mumbai: npnews24 Online – Farhan Akhtar an film director, screenwriter, actor, playback singer, producer, and television host tweeted calling out the folks for the protest against the CAB (Citizenship Amendment Act 2019). Farhan Akhtar taking a stand against CAB and asking for the justice is calling out a protest against this in Mumbai on 19th December at August Kranti Maidan.

Farhan tweeted saying,” Here’s what you need to know about why these protests are important. See you on 19th at August Kranti Maidan, Mumbai. The time to protest on social media alone is over.”

A law that grants citizenship to Hindus, Jains, Parsis, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Christians. This law excludes Muslims. This law can make the Muslims stateless, which means they may loose the rights.

All citizens residing in India need to prove through documentary evidences that they have the right to live in India. ID cards or Tax slips are not enough to prove the citizenship but you would need to prove the citizenship through your ancestry through historical documents.

Many of the Muslims do not have the proper documents of their birth, especially the poor do not have any document since decades they only know they are Indians. But this not enough to prove citizenship of India you need to have birth certificates and the historical documents of ancestry. NRC is identified illegal immigrants. Jains, Hindus, Parsis, Christians will be granted citizenship without the documents but not the Muslims.
