Mumbai: The tiger series consisting of movies such Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai is coming up with its 3rd installment – Tiger 3. It is said to be the most expensive film of Bollywood.

The movie will cast its favorite duo Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. While the makers are yet to confirm or comment on the same, rumour mills are abuzz that the 3rd installment of Tiger franchise could be the biggest budget film in the history of Bollywood. Salman Khan is set to collaborate with Yash Raj Films for Tiger 3.

A report in Bollywood Hungama suggests that the 3rd installment will take the film to a higher notch and will be made on an unheard scale.

According to the sources, ‘The cost of production of Tiger 3 is going to be in the range of Rs. 200 to 225 crores, which is the biggest for a Hindi film to date. There will be the additional budget for print and publicity of approximately Rs. 20 to 25 crores. Salman has taken around Rs. 100 crores as acting fees. The cost of Tiger 3 will be as high as Rs. 350 crores, which will make it the biggest budget film in Bollywood.

The source added, “But they are not worried about the returns. The idea is reach the Rs. 400 crore club this time as the Tiger Zinda Hai created havoc by earning Rs. 339.16 crores in India.”

“Tiger is the biggest franchise for YRF alongside Dhoom, and Adi Chopra is leaving no stone unturned to mount them on a scale that sets new heights for action films in India. Tiger will be shot across the globe in 6 to 7 countries, with action by an international stunt team. The work on the film is in progress for the last 2 years with in-house YRF writers headed by Aditya Chopra, and the ones who have heard of it say that it’s the best among all three Tiger films till date,” added the source.
