DTC Bus will Run From New Delhi Railway Station for the Convinience of Train Passengers

New Delhi : Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot held a meeting with officials of DTC and Transport Department on Wednesday. It has been decided by the government that all the passengers reaching Delhi from special trains being run during the lockdown will be given the facility of DTC bus. These buses will be available at New Delhi railway station. DTC bus will take passengers to their home. The Delhi government has received approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs for this.

Passengers will have to follow social distancing in the bus and it will be mandatory to wear face mask. The concerned DM and DCP under the railway station will be given the responsibility of this. This system will be applicable from Thursday. After the problem of passengers reaching the New Delhi railway station by AC train, the Delhi government has taken this decision.

Under the new rule of Lockdown 4, will the government run bus services to the public? If buses run then how will social distancing be maintained and how many people will be in a bus? While answering these questions, Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said that what precautions should be taken if public transport is open, they should not become carriers and spreaders of Coronavirus. All these issues were discussed today.

He said that the second challenge is about the currency note. There is also a risk of spreading the virus and how to keep the driver in safety because they are also on the frontline. This is also an issue.

Kailash Gehlot said that if we assume that there are around 30 to 35 seats in the bus, then there should not be more than 15 to 20 passengers to maintain social distancing.
