Driver enters airport using fake ticket to recover fare from woman passenger

Pune : NPnews24 – A driver and his owner have been arrested by the Pune city police for allegedly using forged air ticket to enter the Pune airport terminal building, as a woman passenger had entered the building without paying fare. When he informed the owner of the tours and travel company, the owner asked him to get the fare else the amount would be deducted from his salary. The owner sent him a forged air ticket on WhatsApp.

The arrested accused have been identified as driver Sudhir Balkrishna Shinde (40) of Khadakwasla and owner Sumit Dilip Malsure (28) of Chembur, Mumbai.

According to police, the incident took place around 4.50 pm on Thursday. After entering the terminal building, he was moving suspiciously when an alert CISF jawan noticed him. When questioned he again showed them the fake ticket and when it was checked with the airline, it was found to be fake. The CISF officer lodged FIR with Vimantal police station. Malsure was also arrested later on for making the forged air ticket.

Both of them have been charged for offences under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police sub inspector CS Chaudhary is further investigating the case.
