Delhi Violence : ‘These’ Four People Had Helped AAP Councillor Tahir Hussain

New Delhi : npnews24 :  During the riots in Delhi, Tahir Hussain, accused of killing IB officer Ankit Sharma, was helped by four people. Sources in the Crime Branch of Delhi Police gave this information. According to sources, three people had helped Tahir hide in Mustafabad but then when raids were conducted for his arrest, he left Mustafabad and hid in Zakir Nagar.

Sources said that these four people who helped Tahir Hussain are now in the eyes of the Crime Branch. Crime Branch is going to call these four people for questioning soon. Tahir Hussain was arrested by Delhi Police on Thursday. Tahir is alleged to have killed Intelligence Bureau officer Ankit Sharma in the riots that took place between February 24 and 25 in Delhi. The Karkardooma court has sent Tahir on 7-day police remand.

Tahir Hussain has been absconding ever since he was accused of murder but he was arrested by the Delhi Police at the same time on Thursday when he was going to surrender in court. Several videos of Tahir Hussain’s house involving riots in Delhi went viral with Tahir Hussain being seen at his house along with many others during the riots. The roof of Tahir Hussain’s house was stocked with sharp stones and petrol bombs.

It is alleged that rioters also threw petrol bombs and stones at the crowd from the roof of Tahir Hussain’s house. However, Tahir Hussain had clarified to media that he himself had been a victim of riots and that the mob had forcefully entered his house. Tahir Hussain also told that he himself had called the police about the riots and it was the police who had evacuated him from the riotous area. However, when he absconded later, the police were also looking for him.
