Delhi Election 2020 : Free Ride for Voters to the Polling Booth

New Delhi : npnews24 :  Bike taxi booking app Rapido announced that the company will give free rides to all voters in view of the Delhi Assembly elections on 8 February. This free ride company will give rides for polling booths within a radius of 3 km from home. In the Delhi Assembly elections, voting on all 70 seats is on Saturday. On February 11, the results of this election will also be revealed.

The company claimed that it will waive 100 percent ride fee for all rides up to 3 km for polling booths anywhere in Delhi.

In a statement, co-founder of Rapido, Arvind Sanka said that we see elections as an important part of our democracy and constitution and want to do our part for the society. On the day of voting, we will offer 100% discount on the Rapido app to the voters of Delhi to remove the obstruction of not getting the means of transport to reach the polling station.

According to the Bengaluru based company, push notifications will be sent to all users of Delhi. Voters can use ‘Code IVOTE’ on the app to take advantage of the offer. This offer will continue from 7am to 6pm in the morning.

Talking about Rapido, its services are provided in about 100 cities of the country. Rapido was launched in Delhi in November last year. So far, the company has provided 1 lakh rides on its platform.
