Deepika Padukone receives Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum 2020
Deepika received the award for spreading awareness on mental health

Deepika Padukone received Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum 2020 at Davos. She was honored for contributing into mental health field at the World Economic Forum. Deepika gave a powerful speech at the forum. She spoke about depression and anxiety. Deepika is the founder of Live Love Laugh foundation.
“Depression is a common medical illness. It is important to understand that anxiety and depression are like any other illness and are treatable. Acceptance is the first step to recovery. It was the experience with this illness that encouraged me to set up Live Love Laugh,” Deepika said.
While ending her speechDeepika Padukone said “My love and hate relationship with this has taught me a lot and I want to tell everyone suffering from this that you are not alone.”
