Dean Of Jamia Millia Islamia, Architecture Professor Will Be Designing the Mosque in Ayodhya

New Delhi : UP Sunni Waqf Board will build a mosque in the alternative place (against Babri Masjid) in Ayodhya given by the government on the order of the Supreme Court. The design of this mosque will be done by Architecture Prof. SM Akhtar, Dean of Jamia Millia Islamia. This information has been given by Jamia Millia Islamia.

In conversation with the media channel, Prof. SM Akhtar told that Sunni Waqf Board has given him responsibility in Ayodhya. He told that in Ayodhya not just a mosque, but a complete complex building is being built on that land, the mosque will be a part of it. Prof. Akhtar said that the complex will be architect on the basis of three values.

According to Professor Akhtar, Hindustaniyat, humanity and Islamic values will be seen in that entire building. People will get a glimpse of Indian culture upon entering here. Apart from this, the values of humanity will also be seen in the building. Prof. Akhtar said that he has started working on the architect of this building. Soon he will prepare the entire architect and put it in front of the Waqf Board.

Prof. Akhtar holds a special identity for town planning with architecture. He has given his presentations on town planning in India and abroad. His town planning is prepared with special consideration to the environment. His four books on architecture have been published so far, namely Urban Housing-Issues and Strategies, Islamic Architecture at Crossroads, Habib Rahman-The Architect of Independent India and Environmental Remediation and Rejuvenation.

He has been the convener of international conferences focusing on Islamic art and architecture. He has been the President of UP Chapter of Indian Institute of Architects and Secretary of UP Chapter of Institute of Town Planners India. He is also a lifetime member of the Indian Institute of Public Administration.
