Daylight firing in Pune, man injured

Pune: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE– A 32-year-old man sustained injuries after he was shot at from a pistol in Shinde Ali in Shukrawar Peth on Wednesday evening. He was also attacked with sharp weapons.

The injured persons Mangesh Dhumal survived as he got himself freed from the assailants and took shelter in the nearby police station. The incident took place around 4 pm.

No special relief for lady Doctor in fraud case

The daylight firing and chopper wielding assailants sent shockwaves in the densely populated locality.

After getting information, officials from Khadak police station and Crime Branch rushed to the spot. Two persons have been detained till now in the case. The injured Dhumal is undergoing treatment at Sassoon hospital.

Police officials said that the incident may be a fallout of past enmity as Dhumal has cases against him.
