Coronavirus : Maharashtra will face 3rd wave of corona? Predicts IMA state president

Mumbai : Corona’s condition is under control in the state at present. The number of diagnoses and deaths of new corona patients is declining in major cities of the state including Mumbai and Pune. Recovery rate in the state has reached 90 per cent, while the Maharashtra head of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Dr. Avinash Bhondwe tweeted that there will be a third wave of corona in the state.

In the last week of October, the number of corona patients in the state increased slightly again. Expert doctors are watching to see if this is the beginning of the third wave. By the end of October, the number of patients per day had risen to six thousand. On October 26, 3645 patients were found on the same day. On October 27, 5363; on October 28, 6783, and on October 29, 5902 patients were registered. On October 30, 6190 patients were found. As on October 31, the number was 5,548. This is likely to be the beginning of a third wave, as the number has risen in the last week.

The president of the state branch of the Indian Medical Association, Dr. Avinash Bhondwe said the number of new patients in the state had gone up to 23,000 in mid-September.
