Coronavirus India Update : COVID-19 Case Tally Crosses 8 Lakh Mark With 519 Deaths & Highest Single Day Spike Of 27,114

New Delhi : Corona cases have exceeded 8 lakhs in the country. According to the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday, 27,114 cases were reported during the 24 hours between 8 am Friday to 8 am Saturday. During this period 519 people died and 19,873 people recovered. Within four days, the total corona cases in the country crossed 8 lakh. Total number of coronavirus cases in the country has risen to 820916. However, there are only 283407 active cases in it.

Out of the total coronavirus cases across the country, about 59 percent cases are in only 3 states i.e. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Delhi. There have been 7862 new cases in Maharashtra during the last 24 hours due to which the total cases in the state have increased to 238461, Delhi has recorded 2089 new cases during the last 24 hours and the total cases have increased to 109140 whereas in Tamil Nadu, coronavirus cases have increased to 130261.

With new cases of coronavirus coming up, the number of people who lost their lives due to corona in the country is also increasing continuously. According to the Union Health Ministry, 519 deaths due to coronavirus have been recorded across the country from 8 am Friday to 8 am on Saturday and so far this virus has killed a total of 22123 people across the country.

However, with the increase of Coronavirus infection in India, the number of people recovering from Corona is also increasing rapidly and till date a total of 515386 people have been cured across the country. During the last 24 hours, 20000 people across the country have recovered from Corona. Coronavirus recovery rate in the country has reached close to 63 percent.
