Coronavirus Cases will be On Peak in June-July, Says AIIMS Director

New Delhi : Coronavirus cases are increasing in the country. Everyone wants to know when India will get rid of this epidemic. Delhi AIIMS director Dr Randeep Guleria said that according to modeling data, the way corona cases are increasing in India, it is likely that the figures for this disease are at its peak during June-July.

Two days ago, Randeep Guleria said that the increase in cases at constant pace is a matter of concern. Guleria said that various modeling experts predict that the number of coronavirus cases may rise in the next four to six weeks, so we need to be more circumspect and try to reduce the number of cases in the hotspots.

He also said, ‘COVID-19 cases may increase once again in winter in the country, but only time will tell.’ Guleria said, ‘This graph has been relatively flat so far due to lockdown and other measures and has given us time to build our health infrastructure and test facilities in the country.”

He said, ‘But the number of cases is increasing at a steady rate and this is a matter of concern. Every citizen has to understand their responsibility and should faithfully follow the principles of lockdown and the rule of keeping distance from each other, especially if they are in hotspots. ‘

He emphasized to pay special attention to those areas where there are more cases of COVID-19 so that the virus infection does not spread from there. According to data from the Union Health Ministry, 15,266 patients have been cured of the infection and one patient has gone out of the country. 35,902 patients infected with COVID-19 are under treatment. “Thus, about 28.83 percent of the patients have been cured so far,” said a senior Health Ministry official. 111 foreign nationals are also involved in the total cases.
