Constitution Day : President, Vice President & Lok Sabha Speaker in Kevadia today

Vadodara : In view of the celebration of Constitution Day and the centenary of the Presiding Officers Conference, the 80th All India Presiding Officers Conference is to be held at Kevadia from November 25-26 this year. The All India Presiding Officers Conference will be inaugurated by President Ramnath Kovind at 11 am today.

Rajya Sabha Speaker and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu will also be present on the occasion. The Speaker of the Lok Sabha and the Legislative Assemblies of various states, the Speaker of the Legislative Council and the Presiding Officers will also be present at the two-day conference. Following which the Lok Sabha Speaker first reached Kevadia by sea plane from Ahmedabad and from there.

Vice President Vakaiya Naidu arrived at Vadodara Airport. Where his Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja, Mayor Jigisha Seth, Collector Shalini Agarwal, Commissioner of Police RC Brahmbhatt welcomed the Vice President. From there they immediately left for Kevadia.

President Ramnath Kovind will arrive at Vadodara Airport today at 09.50 am. From where he will leave for Kevadia at 10 am. The All India Presiding Officer will attend the conference. It may be mentioned here that November 26 is considered an important day in the history of democracy. This day is celebrated as Constitution Day. This year is celebrated as the centenary year of the Presiding Officers Conference.
