CDS General Bipin Rawat warned China, may consider option of military operations

New Delhi: CDS General Bipin Rawat said, ‘to deal with Chinese military activities in Ladakh, the military operations are in place but this option will be considered after negotiations on diplomatic level fail’. The statement comes after efforts have been made to break the ice between India and China on the Line of Actual Control.

According to CDS General Bipin Rawat, ‘the dispute between two countries is over LAC, they both have different perspectives when it comes to borders’.

Both sides are holding talks about the position on LAC and reducing the tension. So far, there have been several military talks including Lt.-General talks between India and China to resolve the dispute over LAC. Negotiations are also in process at the diplomatic level. Joint Secretary level officials are talking to China.

Currently, China is still holding its position in the area of Paigong and not ready to move back from Finger-5. The Chinese Army People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is conducting exercises in Finger and Darla areas.
