CBI Should Interrogate Sanjay Raut & Aditya Thackeray, Get Their Narco Test Done – Says BJP

Mumbai : In the case of the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the BJP has demanded that Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut and Minister in Maharashtra government Aditya Thackeray should be questioned by the CBI. Along with this, BJP has also asked for the narco test of both the leaders.

BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand alleged that the evidence related to the case was being tampered with and destroyed. Anand said, ‘Shiv Sena wrote an absurd article in a’ Saamana ‘in which they insulted Sushant’s fans, family, Bihar government and Bihar police. It is clear that Shiv Sena leaders are scared and nervous about the CBI investigation. The CBI should interrogate Sanjay Raut and Aditya Thackeray. Their narco-test should also be done.

He said, ‘Top leaders of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress are in the circle of questions. Why should only Aditya clarify? Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should also break their silence. It is unfortunate that the Government of Maharashtra is involved in dirty politics. The evidence is being tampered with. ‘

Sanjay Raut on Sunday alleged that a conspiracy was being hatched to topple the Maharashtra government. He had said that the Mumbai police is investigating the Sushant case thoroughly. Raut took a dig at the Central government for handing over the Sushant case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and said that the decision was taken as a strategy of political expediency and pressure.

At the same time, Mumbai Police opposed the CBI investigation in the Sushant case. It said in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court on Saturday that it is investigating the case in a professional and impartial manner. The Supreme Court is hearing a petition filed by Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty seeking transfer of the case lodged by Bihar Police to Mumbai. The Mumbai Police said that the CBI should have waited till the Supreme Court’s verdict in this case comes.
