CBI Arrests the Person who Gunned Down Dabholkar

Finally, after five years, police have got some more clues in the assassination of Dr. Narendra Dabholkar murder case as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the youth who had triggered the gunpoint at Dr. Dabholkar

The anti-superstition crusader Dr. Dabholkar was gun down on August 20, 2013, by two unidentified motorcycle-borne around 7.20am at Omkareshwar Bridge. Two years back, in this case, police had arrested Dr. Virendra Tawade and six people have been booked on the suspicious basis and the current case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Aurangabad based Sachin Andhure in this case. He is the resident of Roza Bazar in Aurangabad. Sachin was detained on August 14 by the investigation agencies. His parents are no more while he stayed along with his elder brother, wife and two children in the area.

CBI sources says, Dr Virendra was king pinned and since 2009 the plot of killing doctor was working on. Based on the investigation, intelligence inputs and informant we have zero down Sachin. The sketch of the boy who killed doctor is similar to his and we are still to verify that he is one who triggered the gunpoint.”

When Contacted Dr. Hamid Dabholkar said, “It’s a very important move and it’s a ray of hope that such case needs to peruse till the root of the case. As we want the real mastermind to be arrested.”
