Budget 2020 Live : President said – This Decade is Important for India, New India has to be built

NP NEWS 24 : The budget session of Parliament has started today. On the first day, President Ram Nath Kovind is addressing a joint session of the two houses in the Central Hall of Parliament. During this, he said, “this decade is very important for India. This decade marked the completion of 75 years of our independence. With the efforts of my government, a strong foundation has been laid to make this century India’s century.”

The President said that my government, following the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’, is working with complete loyalty and honesty. The result of grassroots reforms undertaken by the government in the last five years has resulted in unprecedented improvement in India’s international ranking in many areas.

At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed the hope that the budget session of Parliament starting today will lay the foundation for the bright future of the country and the focus of his government will be on empowerment of Dalits, deprived and women. Modi told reporters in the Parliament House that this is the first session of this year and this decade. It should be our endeavor that this session remain a strong foundation for the bright future of the decade.

PM Modi said “Our government has so far worked towards empowering Dalits, the exploited, the underprivileged and women and this will be our endeavor in this decade as well.” He further said, “Maximum economic topics will be discussed in this session. It should be ensured how India can benefit from the global economic conditions and current global conditions. The Prime Minister further said “There should be a comprehensive discussion on the economic empowerment of the people in both the sessions of Parliament.”
