Birthday Special : When Amitabh Bachchan Punched Randhir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Fell at His Leg to Save Her Father
Mumbai: Randhir Kapoor is celebrating his 73rd birthday today. Raj Kapoor’s son Randhir Kapoor was born in Mumbai. Randhir Kapoor worked as a child actor in Raj Kapoor’s film Shree 420, Pyar Hua, Iqrar Hua. After this, he made the lead actor debut with the film Kal, Aaj Aur Kal.
Randhir Kapoor is the father of Kareena Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor. Kareena and Karishma are very close to their father. Kareena Kapoor often accompanied her father to the sets. Recently, Amitabh Bachchan has shared Kareena Kapoor’s childhood photo clicked on the set of Pukar.
Pukar film had one fight scene between Amitabh Bachchan and Randhir Kapoor. In this scene, Amitabh Bachchan was asked to punch Randhir Kapoor. Kareena was crying as soon as Amitabh Bachchan started punching Randhir Kapoor.
Seeing the father being beaten in the fight scene, Kareena was so angry and sad at the same time that she ran up to Amitabh and fall at his feet and started crying. She started pulling him and shouting ‘Don’t beat my father’. Before Amitabh could hold her, she fell and the shooting was stopped.
Amitabh lifted Kareena on his lap and explained that it was just acting after which Kareena calmed down. The shooting resumed when Kareena’s mood was recovered. Kareena also suffered injuries on the film’s set. During this, Amitabh Bachchan had applied medicine.
Randhir Kapoor married Babita. Babita worked with him in the films Kal, Aaj Aur Kal. However, Raj Kapoor was against this marriage. Raj Kapoor finally put the condition that Babita will have to quit doing films after marriage. After this, both were married in the year 1971.
Babita wanted to make her daughter Karishma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor an actress. Due to this, the distance between Randhir and Babita started increasing. In 1988, Babita started living separately with both daughters. However, after 19 years, the two decided to live together.
