Big News : Toll Tax to Increased on Mumbai-Pune Expressway From April

Mumbai: Now more tax will have to be paid to travel on Mumbai-Pune Expressway. From April 1, tolls on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway will be charged Rs 270 instead of Rs 230 for car vehicles. According to the information, a new contractor has also been appointed by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). In fact, the state government had issued a notification in the year 2004 which stated that the toll would increase by 18 per cent every three years. According to a report, IRB infrastructure developers have been given toll recovery rights.

What is the new toll rate ?

The toll for the mini bus has been increased from Rs 355 to Rs 420. Whereas at present, the toll for current and heavy vehicles is Rs 493, which has crossed Rs 580. Bus Drivers will have to pay Rs 797 instead of Rs 675. Cranes or multi-axial vehicles will have to pay Rs 1365 to Rs 1835.
