Bhumi Pednekar makes shocking revelation about casting couch

Mumbai : Actress Bhumi Pednekar has admitted in an interview that the industry really has a casting couch.

“I have never experienced a casting couch in my career but I can’t deny that there are no casting couches in the industry and many actors have also fallen prey to this,” Bhumi said. Bhumi also said that the whole industry cannot be called bad because of this bad situation. There is no shortage of good people in the film world.

Bhumi said that she wanted to be an actress from her childhood but she was looking for a good opportunity. Before entering the film industry, Bhoomi worked as an assistant director in Yashraj Films.

One day a casting director asked her to audition for the film Dum Laga Ke Haisha and she was selected.

Bhumi had to gain 35 kg weight for the first film. She weighed 94 kg at the time of the film and it was a hit. After which she acted in films like Bala, Durgamati, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Mission Mangal.
