Aurangabad: 31-year-old farmer dies by suicide after he fails to repay loan

Aurangabad: A 31-year-old farmer from Shivna, Taluka Sillod, died by suicide due to non-payment of loan on Wednesday (February 17), the police said. The deceased has been identified Yogesh Yadavrao Gawhande.

According to the police, he initially sustained his livelihood by working as a driver. Later, he took a loan to dug up a well. However, due to the lack of water in the well, the debt burden increased.

Yogesh Gawhande is survived by his mother Kushivartabai, wife Anita and three young daughters. The incident has been registered at Ajanta Police Station and under the guidance of Assistant Inspector of Police Giridhar Thakur, Police personnel Nilesh Siraskar is conducting further investigation.
