Arnab Goswami used mobile phone in custody say police, inquiry initiated

Alibag : It has been found that Arnab Goswami, who is in judicial custody in the Naik suicide case, used a mobile phone. An account-wise inquiry is being conducted in this regard. The incident is said to have taken place at the school of quarantine center in Alibag.

Arnab Goswami, Nitish Sarda and Hafiz Sheikh were arrested on November 4 in connection with Naik’s suicide two and a half years ago. So, due to the judicial custody given to these accused, they were kept in the quarantine center of the municipal school in Alibag. Meanwhile, it has come to light that Arnab Goswami used his mobile phone on Friday while in judicial custody. This time Arnab Goswami was found live on social media. In this regard, how did the mobile phone reach Arnab Goswami? An inquiry has been launched into the matter.

Republic TV editor Arnab Goswami has been shifted to Taloja Jail for security reasons. Alibag district jail superintendent said that the order was issued by the Inspector General of Police (IGP). Along with Arnab Goswami, Feroze Sheikh and Nitesh Sarda have also been sent to Taloja Jail. The three accused had been lodged in the quarantine center at Alibag Municipal School for the past four days.

The permission was sought from the court to shift him to Taloja jail as the Alibag jail was not safe for him. But the court had directed to take action with the permission of the superior office. Alibag Jail Superintendent AT Patil said that the three accused, including Arnab, were brought to Taloja Jail with the permission of the Inspector General of Prisons (IG).
