Antilia case : Delhi Police team reaches Tihar to interrogate IM terrorist Tehseen Akhtar

New Delhi : A team of Delhi Police Special Cell has reached Tihar Jail on Saturday to interrogate Indian Mujahideen terrorist Tehseen Akhtar after receiving a mobile phone from the terrorist’s barrack.

According to the information, the mobile phone on which the ‘telegram channel’ was prepared to take responsibility for explosive found in an SUV car on February 25 from outside Mukesh Ambani’s Mumbai home. The Delhi Police had approached the jail administration in this matter.

A senior Mumbai Police official said on Thursday that the ‘Telegram channel’ of the Jaish-ul-Hind outfit, claiming responsibility for placing explosives in an SUV near Mukesh Ambani’s house in Mumbai, was set up in Tihar area of Delhi. In this case, the Special Cell of Delhi Police had approached the Tihar Jail Administration on Thursday.

Delhi Police said on Friday that the Tihar Jail administration has seized a mobile phone, which is suspected to have started a telegram channel and claimed responsibility for the acts of terror.

Special Cell’s DCP Pramod Singh Kushwaha had said on Friday that the Tihar Jail administration had seized a mobile phone from the barracks of the terrorists after receiving information from the Special Cell. It is feared that this phone was used to start the telegram channel and took responsibility for the acts of terror.

A Mumbai Police official had said that the police, with the help of a private cyber agency, found out the location of the phone on which the telegram channel was made. He said that during investigation, it was found that the location of the phone is near Tihar Jail in Delhi.
