Anti-Romeo Squad to be active again?

NPnews24 Online: Manoj Tiwari, BJP’s national capital unit chief made a statement on activating the anti-romeo squad. “Anti-Romeo squad is very good thing and I appreciate that it has been started in Uttar Pradesh again. It should be welcomed as it is related to women’s safety. In my opinion, it should be started in Delhi too,” he said.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Singh has expressed his disagreement saying “the anti-Romeo squad will encourage hooliganism by BJP party workers.” Further explaining that, “on many instance the members of squad have misbehaved on stress with father-daughter.”

On agenda to work on for Delhi’s betterment Tiwari said, “A pollution-free Delhi is our second Agenda. Delhi has not got attention that needed in last 21 years, water is the bigger problem here despite having flowing Yamuna River.”

Slamming the Delhi government he added,”CM Kejriwal has made a loss of ₹80,000 crore by not developing the fourth phase of Delhi Metro.”

The anti-Romeo squads were constituted to check couple, stalkers and eve-teasers in Uttar Pradesh soon after CM Yogi Adityanath assumed the office in 2017.
