American Journal Admitted That 90% Of The People Using Ganga Water Didn’t Get Infected To Coronavirus

New Delhi : The team of BHU IMS has done research on the effect of corona on the people living on the banks of the Ganges. The research presented by the team says that corona infection has a 10% effect on the people who use Ganga water. The research paper has been published in the US International Journal of Microbiology issue.

In a preliminary survey, the team led by Dr. Rameshwar Chaurasia, neurologist Prof. VN Mishra, head of the Department of Neurology, BHU, found that regular Ganga baths and those who consume Ganga water in some form are not affected by corona infection.

The team claimed in its research that 90 percent of people survived corona infection. Similarly, in 42 districts along the Ganga, the infection of corona is less than 50 per cent compared to the rest of the cities and the number of people who recover quickly after the infection is high.

The research team of Bacteriophage includes Dr. Rajneesh Chaturvedi, a scientist at the Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, IITR Lucknow, Dr. Abhishek of BHU, Dr. Varun Singh, Dr. Anand Kumar and Research Scholar Nidhi and Amicus Curie, Advocate Arun Gupta of Allahabad High Court.

The leader of the Bacteriophage team doing research on Ganga water, Prof. VN Mishra said that with the study, sampling was done at hundred places from Gomukh to Ganga Sagar. Ganga water nasal spray has also been prepared for Bacteriophage therapy of corona patients. Its detail report has been sent to the Ethical Committee of IMS. The Human Trial will also start as soon as the consent of the 12-member Ethical Committee headed by Prof. V Bhattacharya is agreed.

Dr. VN Mishra said that 250 people will be tested after agreeing with the Ethical Committee. Ganga water brought from Gangnani will be given to the selected people as nasal spray and the rest will be given plain distilled water. After this, the report will be sent to the Indian Council of Medical Research ICMR after studying the result.

The BHU team on Sunday conducted a corona check of 49 people at Panchganga Ghat. 48 people were found to be negative and one person was corona positive. Earlier, on Wednesday, the team had conducted sampling of 54 people at Tulsi Ghat, Bhadaini, Chet Singh Ghat, Harishchandra Ghat and all reports came negative.
