Ahmednagar: Young couple dies by suicide, police suspects love affair

Ahmednagar: A married man and his lover from Yelpane (Shrigande) died by suicide near the Manmad-Daund railway line on Tuesday (February 2), the police said. The deceased have been identified as Raju Baba Kolpe (38) and Rani Rajendra Sable (30).

Both the deceased are married to other people. According to the police, both left the house at 11 am on Monday. The woman’s relatives had lodged a missing complaint at the Belwandi Police station.

Belwandi railway station master informed Shrigonda police about the incident. Police then recovered the bodies of the deceased from the spot and sent them to the rural hospital in Shrigonda for autopsy. Meanwhile, Raju Kolpe has two daughters and a son, while Rani Sable has a son and a daughter. The reason for suicide it yet not clear, the police said.

When contacted, Inspector Ramrao Dhikale said, “The bodies of the two have been found on the railway tracks. Though there is talk that the suicide was due to a love affair, it is being further investigated. The investigation will clarify everything”.  Shrigonda-Belwandi police are further investigating the case.
