Abhishek Bachchan Reveals That He Requested Many Producers & Directors to Give Him an Opportunity to Act But…

Mumbai : There has been a tremendous debate on nepotism on social media for the past few days. Due to this, Karan Johar and many star kids have come on target. Along with the decrease in followers on social accounts, many filmmakers and star kids have also faced hate comments. Many celebs like Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha have given a befitting reply to this. At the same time, the pain of actor Abhishek Bachchan has come out amid the debate on this issue, he has told how many people in the industry have rejected him despite being a star kid.

In his post, Abhishek Bachchan wrote, ‘Year 2009. Delhi 6 and Paa. Many people would not know that in 1998, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and I wanted to start our careers together. He wanted to direct me to ‘Samjhauta Express’. But, despite trying a lot, we could not find any launchers. I don’t remember how many producers and directors I met and asked them to give me an acting opportunity. But, nobody gave me a chance! Both of us were friends, so we decided that we would create something that Rakeysh could direct and I could act on, thus ‘Samjhauta Express’ was born. This film could not be made. Rakeysh started making ‘Aks’ with my father and I luckily spotted by JP Saab. JP saab was thinking of making Akhri Mughal ( a historical ) and was on the lookout for a young fresh face… I got lucky. He never made Akhri Mughal but made Refugee instead. Ten years later, I was seen in ‘Delhi 6’ with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra… ‘

He further said that after 10 years Rakeysh and I were finally able to work together. Together we made ‘Delhi 6′. Such a beautiful cast. We were all like one big family, always together even after wrap. Great senior actors that I could have only dreamt of acting with. Such a special experience.’

He further said, ‘This was Sonam Kapoor’s second film. My second with the stunning Waheda Rehman aunty. And my first with an actor I was always a fan of and was praying I would get the opportunity to work with. Mr. Rishi Kapoor.’
