9th round of talks between India & China held to reduce tensions on the LAC

New Delhi : The 9th round of talks between India and China in Moldo lasted till 2.30 pm yesterday amid tension over the Line of Actual Control (LAC). In this meeting which lasted for 15 hours, talks were held to reduce tension on LAC. 78 days later, a new round of talks began with China, and before this conversation, the Air-chief Marshal had told China that India also knows how to be aggressive.

Significantly, in East Ladakh, tension has been going on between India and China for the last nine months. Heavy deployment of army and weapons has been done in eastern Ladakh from both sides. India has deployed artillery guns, tanks and armed vehicles along the border. There have been 8 rounds of talks between the two countries, but the deadlock in Ladakh has not been resolved.

According to sources, in the 9th round meeting it was proposed that the finger areas of the northern areas of Pangong Lake be made no man’s land at present. The temperature in the Ladakh valleys has gone down to minus 30 degrees at this time. But there is no cut in the forces from both sides. Due to the winter, there is peace on the border, but the tension is still intact.

Indian Air Force Chief (IAF) RKS Bhadauria on Saturday said without naming China that if they can be aggressive, we can also be aggressive. He made this statement on the possibility of China being aggressive on the LAC.
