3 Dacoits who planned to rob Bank Of Maharashtra arrested; 6 missing

PUNE: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- This act by Pune police is worthy all praise as three dacoits who tried to rob Bank Of Maharashtra has been arrested by Hinjewadi police. Although, other 6 dacoits involved in it were successful in running away and are absconded.

This investigation was carried out in Sus Gaon Road, Hinjewadi area of Pune on Tuesday night.

On this case, the arrested accused were identified as Rohit Lakshman Gaikwad(23, Thergaon), Akshay Rajendra Fuge(20, Jagtap Dairy), and Ashish Kailash Kamble(20, Thergaon).

The other six who have been identified and are absconding are Akshay Sable, Kishan Kamble, Onkar Fadtare, Deepak Sawant, Mantya and Chandanshive are missing. Akshay Sable is a gangster of arrant Ravan gang. As per the previous records, a case is already registered with police against Akshay.

According to information by police, the police got information about certain suspicious activities by youth on two-wheelers near Shamshan Bhumi situated at Sus Gaon road at around 9 pm. Police reached the spot, laid a trap to catch hold the suspects. They kept an eye on them and realized that 9 of the youngsters present there where conspiring of some heinous crime. But, somehow the gang came to know about the presence of police and fled away immediately. Police somehow managed to catch three of the youth and rest 6 absconded.

The police took the three in custody and inquired them in which they came to know that the gang had planned to rob Bank Of Maharashtra’s ATM and later the three were arrested. Police has seized a pistol, chilli powder, 2 two-wheelers, bullets, 4 choppers and 10 thousand 300 rupees from the three.

To catch the absconding suspects, two squads have already been appointed and have left for their duty. Among the arrested, 4 cases are already registered with police against Rohit Lakshman Gaikwad.  One case is already been registered against Akshay Phuge and Ashish Kamble respectively.
