20,000 People will be Shifted from Pune! Not Following Lockdown, Situation Critical

Pune : Coronavirus has caused outrage all over the world. Thousands are dying every day in the country and abroad. The death toll in America has reached close to 60 thousand. In India, so far 940 people have died from Corona here. 29,689 people have been found corona positive. In which 7,181 people have been cured. Meanwhile, a bad news has emerged from Pune. Actually, while the proportion of recovery from corona infection is increasing in the country, Pune is in the worst condition.

People are not following the lockdown here. There are 5 local hotspots in Pune. Bhavni Peth, Kasba Peth, Dhole Patil Road, Yerwada and Ghole Road. There are 70 thousand slums in these areas. In which a large number of people live in a very small space. People’s homes are small, social distancing is not being followed. In such a situation, 20 thousand of these people might be shifted to another place for some time. They will be kept in nearby schools, in vacant houses of municipality, in godowns or wedding halls. They will get food and drink at the same place. Shifting of people will not be so easy. Because people will not be ready to leave their homes comfortably. Then it is also a big challenge to arrange the basic things like eating and drinking at the place where they are to be shifted.

Due to the increasing cases of corona, Pune has been kept in the Red Zone. Pune city is divided into two parts, one is Pune city and the other is Pune district. As of Tuesday morning, there are 1217 Corona patients in Pune city and 1348 patients in the entire district. Not only this, 75 people have died due to corona in Pune so far. Maharashtra has the highest number of corona cases. So far, 369 people have died here. While the active number of patients is 8590. The situation in Pune district of Maharashtra remains grim.
