2 men assaulted with chopper for shooing away dog

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE: PUNE: A dog lover can do anything. And this example was seen in Koregaon Park. Two persons were attacked with chopper when they shooed away a dog in the posh locality on Tuesday midnight.

Police have arrested Vijay Mahipat Sapkal (40) and Jay Sanjay Sapkal (22), both residents of Sant Gadge Maharaj Vasahat, South Main road, Koregaon Park. Ajit Ashok Randive of Hadapsar has lodged an FIR in this regard.

According to police, Randive was walking with his friend Sidharth, when a stray dog barked at them. He tried to shoo away the dog, but the accused persons became angry and attacked them with choppers.

They have sustained injuries on hands, legs, face.
