15 cows collided to a train in Agra

Agra: npnews 24 Online – On Thursday,  15 cows collided with the Sealdah Rajdhani Express going to New Delhi. The accident took place in Agra. These cows were grazing on the tracks near the Barhan station and as the train approached, they reached the tracks. About 13 passenger trains and two freight were delayed due to the accident and traffic was disrupted for about two hours.railway
According to railway sources, 72 cattles have been reported from Firozabad and Agra in the last one month. Most of these accidents happen in Firozabad.
 District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh of Firozabad said,”After receiving information from the railway officials about the accident of cattle in this way, we have transferred about 3,000 cattle to 41 shelters in the district. Letters have been sent to various police stations, tehsildars, SDMs and city commissioners to ensure that the cows do not roam near the railway tracks.”
Chief Public Relations Officer of North-Central Railway Ajit Kumar Singh said, “The proposal for fencing on the tracks, especially between Howrah-Delhi and Howrah-Mumbai stations, was approved two months ago and work on this has also begun. Is done We request cooperation from the district administrations to ensure that no trash can be thrown near the railway tracks as it attracts cattle.”
