Wall Collapse tragedy : Laborers’ and their children’s died

NPnews24 online, PUNE : With a continuous rainfall in the city area, a 60-ft-wall has been collapsed near talab masjid in Pune’s Kondhwa area and 15 people has been died, while 2 rescued alive.

The wall adjacent to the tin huts in the area collapsed on Saturday.

The deceased, there are 11 males, 3 female and 4 kids, and they are all from the state like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Deceased name as Alok Verma 28, Mohan Sharma 20, Ajay Sharma 19, Abhang Sharma 19, Ravi Sharma 19, Laxmikant Sahani 33, Avdeth Sinh 32, Sunil Singh 35, Ovidas 6, Sonali Das 2, Vima Das 28, Sangita Devi 26 all are migrant resident.

District collector Pune Naval Kishore Ram, said, “The wall collapsed due to heavy rainfall, also negligence of the construction company is coming to light with this incident. Death of 15 people is not small matter. Most of them were labourers from Bihar , Bengal and Uttar Pradesh and he assured necessary help will be provided to the people from the government.

The NDRF team reached the accident spot and started rescuing to deceased.
