Veteran IAS Neela Satyanarayan dies due to coronavirus

Mumbai: Former State election commissioner Neela Satyanarayan breathed her last at Seven Hills Hospital on Thursday.
She was 71 year old, and has contracted coronavirus few days before. Since then, she was receiving treatment.
Neela Satyanarayan, was a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of 1972 batch from the Maharashtra cadre, who was also appointed aa the first woman state election commissioner.
In the past she held a prominent positions in the fields of revenue, home, forest, social, information, medical, rural development.
She also did a notable achievements in music and literature. She was a recipient of several awards in the field of culture and literature.
