Truck driver killed in Expressway accident

PIMPRI: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- A truck driver died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway near Talegaon. The incident took place around 4 am on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Suresh Todkar of Satara. There was some dispute between officials from Talegaon and Vadgaon Maval police stations over jurisdiction issue about the place of accident. Later Talegaon police station officials took custody of the body and sent it for post mortem.

According to police, the incident took place near KM pillar no. 77. Todkar was driving the truck towards Satara when the accident happened. Pune rural polic is further investigating the case.
