Soldier shot himself, with his service rifle

NPnews24 Online, PUNE: A soldier from Dehu Road cantonment has committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle.

The incident created panic in the area and senior military personnel had reached the spot. 42-year-old Narendra Naik, a lance corporal, shot himself inside the military camp. And he was recently transferred to the Dehu Road cantonment from Delhi.

Police investigating into the matter, said “We don’t have much information about the deceased. We just got a call informing that a soldier had committed suicide by shooting himself. He shot himself in the neck and was fatally injured. The military camp officers promptly got in touch with us.
