Sex racket busted in Hadapsar, 3 girls rescued

Pune: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- Officials from the social security cell (SSC) of the Pune city police on Saturday busted sex racket in Hadapsar and rescued three girl including two from Bangladesh. Police have arrested three three accused persons including two from Bangladesh.

Acting on tip-off, a team led by Police Inspector Manisha Zende of SSC raided Sahil Heights building in Bhekrainagar locality and rescued the girls. Police have seized Rs 3,000 cash, rent agreement copy of the flat and other materials from the spot.

The arrested persons have been identified as Noor Islam Angoor Shaikh (26) from Mushidabad in West Bengal, and Mohammad Rabi Shaikh (28) and Allamin Zameer Shaikh (25), both natives of Bangladesh. An FIR has been registered against them for offences under relevant sections of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act and Foreigners Act.

The rescued girls have been taken to a shelter home in Mohammadwadi.

ACP Bhanupratap Barge supervised the investigation team which included ASI Shelar, head constables Kachre, Geetanjali Jadhav, Anuradha Dhumal, Police naik Sunil Naik, Sachin Kadam, Nitin Telange, Rajendra Nanaware, constables Sandip Gaikwad, Kiran Abdagire.
