Seven doctors booked for a forgery case

PUNE: Akash Kharade – In a shocking incident, seven doctors have been booked by Pune police for allegedly illegal transferring shares of Hadapsar based reputed hospital and they cheated by using several forged documents.

Gaining no response from Hadapsar police when complainant went to registered the case, the complainant approached Judicial Magistrate First Class and filed private criminal complainant. Based on which JMFC directed the Hadapsar police station to registered the case.

In this regard, the case has been reported by Anil Tukaram Zodge (53) and his brother, Sunil Zodge, (40) from Mundhwa with Hadapsar police station which falls under the jurisdiction of Pune city police Commissionerate. Zodge has lodged a complaint against the seven doctors naming Dr. Dilip Nagesh Mane, Dr. Prahlad Pote, Dr. Maruti Aabnave, Dr. Hanumant Sathe, Dr. Siddharam Raut, Dr. Suresh Shikhre, Dr. Mahesh Lingayat and two others named Mandar Sathe and Vidya Mane.

Based on the complaint, the police have registered the case under the Indian Penal Code, 1860 comprises of sections 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust, 409 (criminal breach of trust by public servant), 420 (cheating), 467, 468, 472 (forgery) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). No arrests have been made yet.

According to police, Zodge has accused that without his and his brother’s concern the seven doctors had transferred shares of Noble Hospital to another entity without the consent of complainants’ late father, the original owner of the shares. He was alive when the occurrence of cheating occurred. The seven doctors and two other people allegedly with deliberately intension forging documents and cheating hospital shares worth Rs 46 lakh. They tried to mislead the complaint, the accused had allegedly informed him that Rs 24 lakh was given to Sunil, who held 11.94 percent of the hospital shares. The suspect did not take signatures nor they follow any legal procedure to transfer the shares.
