Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) | Disturbing Cry for Help: Student’s Letter to Vice-Chancellor Highlights Threat of Suicide

Pune : Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) |A student has directly reached out to the Vice-Chancellor, expressing his intention to commit suicide as a result of a derogatory remark on his Transfer Certificate (TC). The concerned student, Sushant Shewale, handed a letter detailing his distress to Suresh Gosavi, the Vice-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University. According to the letter, Sushant was enrolled at the Lilavati College of Commerce and Computer Studies in Pune.

The college failed to provide him with his exam results promptly, causing a delay in receiving them. After a few days, the college eventually handed over the results. However, when Sushant requested his TC upon leaving the college, he was taken aback by the comment “misbehaviour” written on it. This incident has left the young man frustrated and has made it challenging for him to secure admission elsewhere. In light of these circumstances, Sushant penned a letter to the Vice-Chancellor, urging immediate attention to this matter. He also explicitly mentioned that if proper action is not taken and his mental well-being is disregarded, he will take his own life, with the college being held responsible
