Rs 216 crore collected as property tax by PMC

Npews24 online Pune: In the first month of the financial year, Rs 216 crore was collected as property tax by PMC. As compare to last financial year this year tax collection is better, said PMC official. PMC official offer discount and many people want to get that benefit that pay tax before May 31, which will certainly increase tax collection, official added.

Due to online payment option and use of new technology easier for the citizens. So more and more people are using it. Introduction of new technology is also getting good response from the citizens.’’

The revenue will go up by around Rs 64 crore due to added properties. Tax collection of Rs 1600 has been kept for the ongoing fiscal, said official of tax department.
