Young businessman Punit Balan Group’s President Punit Balan always takes the lead in doing social work. The group organises various activities for sportsmen, students, artistes, employees and policemen. On the occasion of Ashadhi Wari, lakhs of warkaris arrive in Pandharpur by accompanying the palkhis of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj. This year, the Ashadhi Ekadashi is on June 28 and 29.
Hence, the Pandharpur Yatra will be held from June 11 to July 4. For the safety of lakhs of warkaris, police officers, policemen, home guard, RPC teams and QRT teams i.e totally 8,000 officers and policemen will provide 24-hour security. Pandharpur’s SDPO Vikram Kadam had made a demand to Punit Balan that the policemen should be provided kits containing essential commodities. Balan immediately agreed to provide the kits and has made them available. The kits would be given to 4,200 policemen and 800 policewomen.
What the kits will contain?
The kits will contain Colgate toothpaste, toothbrush, Glucose D biscuit packet, chikki packet, water bottle, handwash, shaving kit, oil bottle, mask, sanitizer, soaps, odomos and sanitary napkin
The President of Punit Balan Group, Punit Balan, said, “If we provide service to warkaris, it is like doing service to Lord Vitthal. I got an opportunity to do service to Lord Vitthal by providing kits to policemen who take care of the security of warkaris. It will be my endeavour to provide all possible help to them.”
