Pune: Yet another accident at Navale Bridge; 8 cars and bike damaged

Pune: Navale Bridge, a hotspot for accidents in Pune city witnessed another accident on Wednesday. Seven to eight cars, and a bike were among the other vehicles which were damaged after a truck ploughed through vehicles at Navale Bridge on Wednesday (December 16).

The driver of the truck, which is believed to be the cause of the tragedy, lost control of the vehicle. Whether the reason for the loss of control was technical or his fault is yet to be determined.

This is the sixth accident this year so far in the surroundings of the Navale bridge. In November, three people were killed and six were left injured where a trailer truck ploughed through vehicles.

In the first week of October, a truck had also rammed through multiple vehicles near the bridge, killing a motorcyclist and injuring eight others. Traffic police rushed to the spot and are examining it further.
