Pune: Vasant More Confident of VBA Victory in Pune Lok Sabha Elections

Pune: Vasant More, the newly declared candidate for Pune Lok Sabha from Prakash Ambedkar’s Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi (VBA), exudes confidence in securing victory as VBA’s inaugural Member of Parliament.

Yesterday, More was officially declared the VBA’s candidate for the Pune Lok Sabha. After that, today, many activists and office-bearers of VBA were present in the collector’s office to congratulate Vasant More. At that time, he visited the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar near the collector office to take his blessings. At that time, while speaking to media persons, More stated his belief in getting elected from Pune on the VBA’s symbol.

Emphasising his commitment to unity across Pune’s diverse demographics, More highlighted his support for the Maratha reservation and Maratha leader Jarange Patil. “Our campaign aims to unite all sections of Pune society and challenge the dominance of established parties,” he asserted.

Furthermore, reflecting on his resignation from the MNS City Chief position over differences with party chief Raj Thackeray on mosque loudspeakers, More underscored the significance of Maratha, Muslim, and Scheduled Caste communities belief in him in securing electoral success. However, he clarified that while community support is crucial, his focus will remain on merit-based politics, devoid of caste considerations.

More’s track record as a corporator resonates with Pune’s electorate, bolstering his confidence in electoral success. He affirmed, “My past service to Pune residents while being corporator has been recognized widely by people, and I believe voters will elect me in this election based on my merits.”

More said that helping people from all social backgrounds at any time is his strong side during his election campaign.
