Pune: Supriya Sule files nominations amidst display of power

Pune: The Maha Vikas Aghadi’s (MVA) candidate from the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency and NCP (SP) MP, Supriya Sule, on Thursday filed her nomination papers amidst display of power.

On this occasion, Sule expressed the confidence that she would be elected for the fourth term as an MP. Senior Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat, Shiv Sena (UBT) Pune district contact chief and MLA Sachin Ahir, Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Sushma Andhare, former minister and MLA Vishwajeet Kadam, MVA’s Shirur Lok Sabha constituency candidate and NCP (SP) MP Dr Amol Kolhe, MLAs Sangram Thopte, Sanjay Jagtap and Ashok Pawar and former MLA Jaidev Gaikwad, Yugendra Pawar, NCP (SP) Indapur taluka President Tejsinh Patil, NCP (SP) Daund taluka President Appasaheb Pawar, Rambhau Tule and many office-bearers and workers from the MVA were present.

Supriya Sule said, “I am contesting the Lok Sabha election from the Baramati constituency as the candidate of the MVA and representative of the NCP (SP). I submitted my nomination papers at the Vidhan Bhavan, along with people who love Honourable Pawar Saheb, MVA leaders, office-bearers and workers.

“I am confident that I will get to represent the constituency again with the blessings, good wishes, unflinching trust and huge support of voters from the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency. I am fighting to continue to serve the people; for the respect of women, workers and labourers and to retain the pride of Maharashtra. I am sure the people will stand behind me.”

Earlier, she garlanded the statue of Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar in the Pune station area. She said, “I am participating in the biggest festival of democracy after seeking the blessing of the Architect of Indian Constitution, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.”
